The New Hampshire Association of Insurance Agents (NHAIA), the state’s predominant association of insurance agents, announced its Board of Directors for 2014-2015. The announcement was made at the association’s 115th annual convention held at Wentworth by the Sea in Newcastle, NH.
Chris Worcester of Hometown Insurance Agency was elected Chairman of the Board. Mr. Worcester was joined by Will Infantine of Aspen Insurance Agency as Chairman of the Board-Elect, and Chris Snow of Bernier & Snow Insurance Agency as Vice Chairman. Bryan Bernier of Eaton & Berube Insurance Agency will serve as Immediate Past Chairman, as well as New Hampshire’s National Director to the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIABA).
The NHAIA 2014-2015 Board of Directors also will retain 2013-2014 members: Robert Bethel of Rowley Agency; Kathy Dalzell of Clark-Mortenson Agency; Barbara DeStefano of People’s United Insurance Agency; Gregory Eastman of Hunkins & Eaton Agency; April McBriarty-Weismann of HPM Insurance; Dean Merrill of Tobey & Merrill Agency; Beth Needham of Eaton & Berube Insurance Agency; Jamie Santo of Santo Insurance/Plainright Insurance Agencies; and Randall Wentworth of Chalmers Insurance Group. Tom Minkler of Clark-Mortenson Agency, a member of the IIABA Executive Committee, will remain as liaison to the New Hampshire association.
Retiring President of NHAIA, Robert L. Nash, was honored during the convention for his 14 years of service and commitment to the association. U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte read a proclamation that was delivered on the United States Senate floor in honor of Nash. New Hampshire Insurance Commissioner Roger Seivgny also spoke of his efforts and congratulated Nash on his years of service.
Also recognized for his devotion to the association was Board of Director member Dean Merrill, as well as Matt Barrett and Chuck Hamlin as their term on the Board of Directors came to a conclusion.
Tom Minkler was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award in honor of his services to both NHAIA and IIABA. This award is presented to individuals who exhibit an exemplary commitment to community, service and industry. Minkler is only the 6th recipient of this award in the association’s history.
Chris Worcester, who has 19 years of experience in the insurance industry, was pleased to be elected as Board Chairman. “I am honored to accept this position and to continue serving on the board,” said Worcester. “As chair, I will remain committed to promoting the importance of working with a local agent so that our customers can experience the true value of the Trusted Choice® brand.” Worcester was sworn in by his father, Chuck Worcester, who also served as Chairman of the Board.
