NEWPORT, RI (June 14, 2017) – As part of the Newport County Chamber of Commerce’s innovative government affairs series, Politics & Pancakes, the Chamber will host a RI State Senate District 13 Candidate Debate. In hosting this event, the Chamber is pleased to partner with: Rhode Island Hospitality Association; Rhode Island Business Coalition; Discover Newport; and Rhode Island Marine Trades Association. The event will be held on Thursday, June 29th, from 8am – 9:30am, at Belle Mer (2 Goat Island, Newport) and will be streamed live on 1540 WADK, in partnership with 3G Broadcasting.
The goal of the Politics & Pancakes series is to bring government officials and political pundits together to discuss issues of importance to our business community, sponsored by Emera Energy, Darrow Everett LLP, and Acropolis Management Services.
This series was spearheaded by the Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee, which reviews, develops, and supports issues that promote a positive, pro-active economic environment with social progress and enhanced quality of life.
