Aisha Laliberte Named the Membership Director at the Pawtucket Family YMCA

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (August 26, 2019) — The Pawtucket Family YMCA has promoted longtime staffer Aisha Laliberte to the position of Membership Director. With nearly two decades of experience, Laliberte will support recruitment and retention efforts at the branch with an emphasis on promoting healthy living lifestyles.

“Over the last two decades, Aisha has nurtured lasting relationships with families at the Y and she has demonstrated a deep understanding of our culture,” said Charlie Clifford, Chief Executive Officer of the YMCA of Pawtucket. “Her knowledge, experience, and understanding of our offerings will undoubtedly help us achieve our mission of building a healthier community.”

Laliberte will be responsible for developing and implementing membership goals, promoting membership enrollment at events and through marketing efforts, and making sure that current members are informed about various programs and initiatives. She will also support staff leadership during branch initiatives, maintain enrollment records, and serve as a key member of the Pawtucket Family YMCA management team.

“Working at the YMCA has been an incredibly meaningful experience because I know I am helping local families make healthier lifestyle choices,” said Laliberte. “In this new capacity, I am excited at the possibility of helping more people reach their health and fitness goals.”

Laliberte, who started working for the YMCA in 2001, has also coordinated the intake for the Y’s chronic disease initiatives. Working directly with participants of the Livestrong, YMCA Diabetes Prevention, Wise Woman, and Healthy Together initiatives, Laliberte has been instrumental in connecting members to the right programs as an intake coordinator.

Prior to her role as the Membership Director, Laliberte has also served as a childcare and camp counselor, a desk associate, and a membership coordinator. She has also worked for H&R Block for 10 years.

A resident of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Laliberte lives with her two daughters — the oldest of whom serves as a summer camp staff and swim instructor. On her days off, Laliberte enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and enjoying movies and music.
