PROVIDENCE, R.I. (June 17, 2020) – Women’s Fund of Rhode Island (WFRI) is pleased to welcome Kim Barker Lee to its Board of Directors. Barker Lee will bring unique insights as a Board member through her vast experience as a lawyer and diversity and inclusion practitioner who has helped improve workplaces across Rhode Island. Her appointment to the Board of Directors is effective July 1, 2020.

Barker Lee, who serves as the Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion for IGT, is responsible for advancing IGT’s corporate values by supporting a fair and inclusive culture that values unity, diversity, and belonging in IGT’s people, players, customers, and communities. She chairs IGT’s Global Diversity and Inclusion Council, supports employee Diversity and Inclusion Groups, and helps shape supplier diversity programs. Prior to her current role, Barker Lee served as the General Counsel for Northstar Lottery Group.

“Kim brings a corporate perspective to our diversity and inclusion work. With her expertise in this area, Kim will be able lend a critical eye to our research and activities,” said Kelly Nevins, Executive Director of Women’s Fund of Rhode Island. “We are thrilled to welcome Kim to the Board, and we look forward to working with her to increase the Women’s Fund’s impact in Rhode Island.”

Barker Lee is a graduate of Yale College and New York University School of Law. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Community College of Rhode Island Fund, and is a determined advocate for families with children of color on the autism spectrum.
