LINCOLN, R.I (February 11, 2021) The MacColl YMCA is pleased to announce that it has hired Brandy Isom as its new health and wellness director.

Brandy served as a health and wellness manager for five years prior to assuming her new position.

“We are excited to welcome Brandy to the MacColl Y,” said Jeanine Achin, the Chief Operations Officer at the YMCA of Pawtucket. “With her 20 years of fitness experience, she will be a great addition to our strong team of dedicated Y professionals. She has already hit the ground running with some great new member experience enhancements!”

Brandy has experience in managing over 50 employees and handling department budgets and payroll. She also is an experienced kickboxer, an Anusara Yoga Certified Teacher, aerobics instructor, personal trainer, and aerobics coordinator. Before joining the Y she worked as a substitute K-12 teacher in all subjects, specializing in math and science.

“I am committed and deeply passionate about helping others improve their overall quality of life through fitness,” Brandy said. “I have 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, where I have built a strong customer rapport. In this new position, I will continue to build relationships, motivate staff, and work hard to serve our members and the local community.”

Brandy is a Providence resident. In her spare time she enjoys taking her daughter to the movies, working out, meditating, reading, and listening to music.
