East Providence, RI (August 4, 2015) – Rhode Island Medical Imaging (RIMI) is pleased to announce the opening of a new satellite imaging center in the George Washington Medical Building on Wake Robin Road in Lincoln, RI. This satellite office will provide x-ray and ultrasound exams. More importantly, the Wake Robin office will offer the most extensive out-patient x-ray hours in the state, which includes evenings and weekends.
“This satellite office on Wake Robin Road will be a nice complement to our full service imaging center on Blackstone Valley Place,” said Dr. John Pezzullo, president of Rhode Island Medical Imaging. “The delivery of diagnostic imaging has changed over the past 10 years such that smaller imaging centers provide easy access and more convenient hours for exams such as x-rays and ultrasounds.”
The satellite office on Wake Robin Road represents RIMI’s seventh out-patient imaging center, in addition to their hospital presence at Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, and Women & Infants. With over 60 radiologists, Rhode Island Medical Imaging is the largest radiology practice in Rhode Island, and considered to be one of the largest in the country. In 2014, Rhode Island Medical Imaging acquired the coveted status of Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence, the only imaging practice in Rhode Island to receive this award.
RIMI is committed to providing world class, state-of-the art diagnostic imaging services to the people of Rhode Island via easy and convenient out-patient offices.
